US Expands Tariffs to Steel Derivatives, Aluminium Products and Semiconductor Chips

The United States has expanded Section 232 tariffs to include 407 additional steel and aluminium derivative products from 18 August 2025, applying duties only to the value of their metal content, with wide implications for global supply chains.
